Substance misuse support worker

Experience performing assessments on substance misuse experience is essential. Voluntary experience or placement experience in the substance misuse field would be acceptable for this role.

A local service is looking for a support worker to take on a case load of clients in a tier 3 service. The role will involve performing initial assessments and key working of stabalised clients in a prescribing service. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in the needle exchange giving harm reduction advice. This role would be an ideal entry level position into substance misuse, voluntary or placement experience could be converted into paid experience with the opportunity to gain more experience performing assessments and get training to increase harm reduction knowledge.
