Maintenance & Utilities Manager
To manage and develop the Engineering Maintenance resource on site in order to deliver a safe operating environment whilst maximising equipment/asset availability (95% runtime availability) and ensuring all equipment is capable of operating to design specifications.
Benchmark the utilities infrastructure in order to eliminate any shortfalls in performance and capability with the target of providing a safe operational environment that is supplied with guaranteed utility performance minimising waste and establishing a utilities provision that services today’s requirements and builds in potential and capability for the envisaged future requirements of the plant.
Manage the departmental human resource to provide operational standards beyond the current capability by setting standards, developing first class PM standards and implementation regimes. Developing the Technicians by multi-skilling and cross-skilling to maximise the potential within the department, providing development and growth for the personnel and an improved maintenance service that takes us beyond fire fighting issues to provide long term solutions that improve the asset performance across the plant.
Essential Skills , Qualifications & Competencies
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification or experience; (Minimum, time served electrical apprenticeship with appropriate experience and expertise).
Good understanding of HV systems and procedures.
Experience and competency in managing electrical infrastructure safely and competently.
Experience of programming and fault finding on PLC’s (site currently has 140 Motoman robots and some Panasonic.
Experience of the maintenance and programming of Robots would be a distinct advantage.
Experience of the management of maintenance teams
