Project Superintendent – Fabrication

Our Client is a world-class player in engineering, technologies and construction services for the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and other industries. With nearly 50 years of experience in the design and construction of large industrial facilities, a wide range of state-of-the-art technologies and operational bases spread over the 5 continents, our Client is now looking for experienced professionals to support their expanding portfolio of global projects.

Location – Fabrication Yard, JB, Malaysia

Duration – 8-9 months (possible extension)

Nationalities – Malaysian / Asian Expatriates / International Expatriates

Key Objectives

The Project Superintendent will direct and coordinate the activities of the various trade groups such as Equipment Operators, Iron Workers and others on the fabrication of a Topside fabrication project.

Principle Accountabilities

• Ensure the work progresses according to schedule, that materials and equipment are delivered to the site on time, and that the activities of the various workers do not interfere with one another.

• Supervises all these activities by talking with and directing the foremen for the different trades or craft workers.

Requirements

• Diploma in a relevant discipline or an equivalent qualification.

• 30 years experience in oil and gas industry

• Experience in offshore platform construction and leading construction teams

• 10 years experience of working in remote locations

• Proven interpersonal and leadership skills

• Strong communicator and manager

• You’ll have been exposed to FEED and the detailed design phases of major projects

• Flexible, self-confident and with contract and project management/supervising skills, you’ll be able to operate in a diverse, multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment.
