Main Purpose of Job

To manage the planning and delivery of world-leading web 2.0 legal services websites.

Acting as a liaison between the development team, other Epoq departments and end clients to ensure that all necessary actions are taken, and that the finished service meets its original requirements and is delivered within agreed timescales.

Tasks & Responsibilities

· Project managing our five strong development team consisting of two full time and one contract developer, a tester, graphic designer and any other technical staff essential to project delivery.
· Following consultation with clients/Epoq sales team, produce detailed service specifications, ensuring that these documents accurately reflect requirements
· Communicate with client and Epoq sales team to get feedback on specification, and produce final, agreed version
· Produce detailed project plan based on service spec, detailing all tasks involved in project set-up, for clients, Epoq development team, and other Epoq staff.
· Create risk and issues log for each project, taking responsibility for managing those risks, implementing appropriate procedures to ensure this happens.
· Undertake regular project review meetings/phone calls with clients to review project progress, updating project plan and risk log as required. Report project progress to Epoq senior managers.
· Work with Epoq development team and senior managers to manage the number of projects and what projects get done and when (the project priority schedule)
· Take responsibility for the thorough testing of services, including assisting drawing up test conditions and plans, liaising with Development section on fixes, and signing off on final release of the service.
· Demonstrate products to clients and explain architecture where required
· Any other duties requested from time to time by the General Manager




Education & Experience

· Education to degree level or equivalent, preferably in a numerate, IT or business related discipline
· Excellent understanding of e-commerce, and its potential
· 5 years work experience in total as a minimum
· Previous experience as business analyst and project manager
· Experience of working on commercial e-commerce projects
· Some previous development experience desirable
· Knowledge of formal project methodologies highly desirable
· Previous development experience advantageous
· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel and Word.
