Drugs Worker

Experience case managing drug and alcohol clients with substitute prescription needs is essential. A nursing qualification would be a benefit but is not essential.

A local service is looking for a substance misuse practitioner to take on a caseload of drug and alcohol clients who are in need of scripts for methadone or subutex as well as clients with existing treatment plans which need to be maintained. The successful applicant will need to be vigilant to spot withdrawl symptoms or on top usage and review care plans accordingly. Initial and follow up assessments will be used to assess required levels of dose and key working of clients will be used to review and update care plans.
