Senior Network Engineer – CCNP / Cisco Security

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious CCNP accredited engineer to join a leading IT consultancy based in London City. You will work in a Senior Network Analyst capacity, providing technical support and engineering services to their Managed Services and Corporate networks, responding to client calls and maintaining a secure network environment in line with BS7799 standards. Candidates for this role must have current CCNP accreditation and proven recent experience in a Network Analyst role. You should have a detailed understanding of a variety of network infrastructures and and comprehensive knowledge of network packets including the ability to analyse and debug layers 1-7. You should have solid experience of common protocols/technologies such as OSPF,BGP,STP,Ethernet,TCP/IP etc as wella s Multi-layer switches and routers including 6500’s,3750’s,7200’s. Also of interest for this role is any Cisco Security Exposure – such as CCSP accreditation or commercial experience with PIX/ASA Firewalls and VPNs, or any Checkpoint knowledge. Familiarity with network-centric applications such as DNS, TACACS,RADIUS, or 802.1x network authentication is also of interest but not essential as full training will be provided.
