Linux Testing Engineer (Perl, Linux), FTSE-Listed Multinational, Optical Archiving Solutions

This role is with a major FTSE-Listed Multinational Organisation that specialises in the provision of optical archiving solutions. They have recently released a 2nd generation ultra density optical archiving product, which has been very well received by the marketplace.

Position is in their connectivity Solutions Group, which develops and tests software for the their flagship Optical Archiving product (as well as other products), which is a Linux based archive management application. Role involves Linux and Windows testing within a systems integration environment, automated and manual (functional and regressive) testing, writing test design documents. Excellent long term prospects to move into a tech lead role managing a subset of testing responsibilities, or sideways moves into other areas of testing, or even development.

Requirements: - Minimum of 2 years commercial testing experience on Linux platform, manual and automated testing, grey-box testing. Scripting skills highly desirable (Perl, Python, BASH, etc). Relevant industry experience (archiving products, storage, SANs, RAID, NAS, etc) would be very useful.
