Our client, based in south Birmingham and an established company, requires a personal assistant to take responsibility for the administration and secretarial duties within a busy office.
Formed in 1993, the company specialises in commercial property and offers specialist advice to landlords, tenants and investors on all aspects of retail property and also provides a property management service. A move to new offices in Bromsgrove is scheduled for early 2008.
As a competent PA, the successful candidate will have had experience in a similar role though not necessarily in the property business, and be accustomed to working independently using their own initiative. Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential, together with the ability to prioritise the workload in a positive and helpful manner. Adaptability is also a key quality while a professional, patient approach and commitment to the task in hand are keenly sought.
Essential skills
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Word and Outlook as these are used extensively
Accurate copy typing speed, minimum 50wpm
Audio typing and diary management
Shorthand or speedwriting skills a distinct advantage
Excellent telephone manner
Exceptional inter-personal skills
Hours of work: 9-5pm including lunch hour, Monday to Friday,
Salary £16000-18000 per annum + car parking permit
