Substance misuse senior practitioner

Experience supervising and giving supervision to substance misuse practitioner is essential. Previous experience with drug and alcohol case management including harm minimisation is also essential.

A local service is looking for a senior practitioner to help develop the service and give supervision to practitioners. The role will allow the successful applicant to help develop the service and promote it thoughout the local community. The role will also involve carrying a case load of primarily opiate users using the service through drop ins, referrals and outreach. Following initial assessment the successful applicant will need to design care plans to involve key working with harm minimisation principles. There is the opportunity for a substance misuse worker will good experience to get experience at this level.
