Web hosting specialist required to join a team based in Auckland working on a challenging development project for a multinational company.

Our client is calling for an IT professional with broad skills in networking, web application support and project management.

This is a third level support role working with a large technical team supporting multisites. It involves designing and engineering custom web infrastructure solutions. Ideally candidates will have an MCSE certification and/or Unix administration certifications.

Technical Skills

Web Server experience with Sun One, iPlanet etc
Oracle Database knowledge
Knowledge in iPlanet Application Server
Knowledge in BEA WebLogic
Solid understanding of Unix environment - networks, firewalls, routers etc
Strong operating system knowledge (W2K, NT etc)
Knowledge in BigIP/F5
Knowledge in J2EE
Knowledge in UNIX Scripting

Experience

Minimum of 3-4 years web experience.
Technical leadership
Estimating and communicating requirements to team members
Working directly with the customer and resolving complex issues
Working with minimal direction

Candidates must be prepared to work on shift or on call at irregular hours, if required.
