Job summary
The Solution Architect/Technical Consultant will take day to day responsibility for ensuring that the Axapta solution is tailored to meet the client’s requirements.
Responsibilities
The role is to act as a technical subject matter expert and lead on Microsoft Dynamics Axapta projects, to new prospects, existing customers and internal staff. The role involves being engaged in key activities through the project lifecycle:

 Pre-sales assistance including product demonstrations
 Implementation planning and the delivery of value added work, to scope and budget
 Business and systems analysis and documentation
 Creation of functional and technical specification documents
 Conduct client work shops
 Demonstrate Dynamics AX
 Product design and gap analysis to standard product functionality
 Production of design, system, user and procedural documentation
 Development of Axapta system to client’s specification
 Application configuration and set up
 Provide system training if required to both internal and external clients
 Development and delivery of testing strategies
 Design and execution of data migration strategies
 Go live support
 Hand over to Support Team

Skills and Experience

The role will require an excellent technical background with the relevant AX Certification.

 Substantial experience in Axapta X++ programming, will have worked on a number of successful Axapta projects, ideally, but not essentially, for retail clients
 Has a strong technical understanding and experience of Axapta including: architecture, performance tuning, configurations management etc.
 Substantial experience in leading Axapta customization and/or development projects
 Has demonstrated ability to design complex solutions in a variety of environments.
 Hands-on experience of development and testing of Axapta modifications and development and testing of AXAPTA modifications and enhancements
 Experience in writing detailed design specification documents
 Good understanding of COM, .Net framework (1.1 and 2.0) & XML Web Services·
 Understanding of EAI techniques in general and has some experience on XML, MS BizTalk·
 Experience of use of developer tools (VS -VB, others)
