Design Manager

You will be working for one of the top 5 contractors in the U.K on major projects ranging from £10-250million. You will be directing and managing the cost planning / design activities from concept information.

This will include:
- Co-ordination of pre tender and estimating activities, management of internal / external engineers and drawing staff
- Liaison with estimating staff programming and allocation of resources.
- Ensuring design costs are adequately controlled and designs are in accordance with client and cost plan requirements.

You will be responsible for managing the design process on this major project, co-ordinating and managing external consultants, liasing with the client and managing expectations/challenging perceptions of the client in line with value engineering objectives.

It is essential that you are technically competent, you bring experience from past roles and that you are a confident communicator.
