Technical Manager

Our client, a manufacturer of chilled foods is seeking a Technical Manager to oversee the technical function at the midlands site, dedicated to one of the major retailers.

Reporting to the Technical Services Director, this individual will be responsible for the site technical function through the effective management of the technical, quality, hygiene and process staff, ensuring the requirements of food safety, legislation, customer specifications, quality criteria and company standards are met within an agreed budget.

This role takes technical responsibility for the company’s main customer and requires a dedicated and enthusiastic individual. With previous management experience, the successful individual will possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate at all levels.

Having worked with the major retailers in a previous position, this individual will have a full understanding of BRC standards and experience of dealing with approved accreditation agencies e.g. EFSIS.
