Imports Clerk


We are currently recruiting for an Import Clerk to work within a large Freight forwarding Company in Hayes, Middlesex.

Daily Duties Include:
▪ Completion of Customs entries
▪ Raising work files
▪ Raising collection and delivery notes
▪ Completion and action of daily sheet
▪ Dealing with any customer service enquires by telephone, fax or e-mail
▪ Raising invoices for COD shipments
▪ Liaising with branches and overseas offices
▪ Ensuring shipments are cleared in efficient, timely and accurate manner
▪ Any other reasonable task as requested by manager

Candidate Requirements
▪ Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
▪ Experience in working in a freight forwarding company
▪ Computer literate
▪ ASM, GEMS, CHIEF, AS400, Word, Excel, Lotus Notes
▪ Knowledge of Imports and Customs procedures
▪ Knowledge of ERTS procedures
▪ Excellent Customer Service skills
▪ Communication skills
▪ Team work
▪ Ability to work on own initiative
▪ Flexible attitude

Shift work 09:00- 19:30 including Sundays
