Group Procurement Director - Niger/Burkina Faso (Nigeria)
GROUP PROCUREMENT DIRECTOR
Based: various locations Niger, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Congo and the Netherlands

Our client operate in 19 countries: 5 Middle Eastern and 14 Sub-Saharan African countries with over 7,000+ employees providing a comprehensive range of Mobile Voice and Data services to over 14 million individual and business customer.
The Role
Develop and after approval of the CFO implement a strategic procurement strategy, in line with the business strategy of the company and in close cooperation with the business owner, in order to contribute to improvement of the company business results with optimal Procurement results in the short and long term
§ Strategy & Business Plan Procurement
Contribute to the development of procurement initiatives and formulation of the Company International procurement strategy and after consultation with the Chief Financial Officer, direct and implement this strategy, to ensure an adequate common framework for all Procurement activities, in order to assist the Chief Financial Officer and other colleagues in developing and meeting Group Company operational as well as OPEX and CAPEX targets.
§ Processes, procedures and tools
Ensure the development and implementation of procurement business processes and systems, based on insight in the drivers of efficient Procurement, best practices and the strategic objectives, in order to support the Procurement Managers in realizing their targets.
§ Negotiations
Negotiate with suppliers of key products, goods and services and manage major procurement bids and agreements, in line with the Procurement strategy, in order to realize optimal Procurement conditions in the short and long term.
§ Analysis
Ensure the analysis of procurement processes and data within the Procurement group, as well as ensure the collection of management information and internal distribution of relevant information, in order to gain insight in the drivers of efficient and effective Procurement of different product categories and ensure effective communication with CFO and business owners.
§ Management and HR
Organize, staff, manage, motivate and develop the human resources within the corporate and local Procurement department, in line with the HR strategy of this company internationally, in order to be well equipped for current and future business challenges and contribute to the optimization of business results.
Essential Requirements
§ Graduate or equivalent
§ Substantial and significant experience of procurement
§ Negotiation experience
§ Understanding the business
§ Knowledge of respective products, systems and services as well as the
procurement processes
§ Principle of contract law, the uniform commercial code and a complete understanding of standard corporate terms and conditions
§ Experience with value analysis, total cost of ownership analysis and financial evaluation
§ Experience with value chain management issues e.g. Source development, source relations/vendor management, project management, market analysis, competitive analysis
§ Fluency in English language and ideally French
