Tax and Treasury Director
Due to the continued growth of my client we are looking for the first time to recruit a dedicated tax and treasury director. Reporting directly to the Finance Director you will be responsible for the tax and treasury functions at CSR. As well as working with finance on specific projects, on a day to day basis you will have responsibility for the following:
Tax responsibilities
Tax planning
Tax planning including identifying and managing tax risks
Management, review and control of the group's effective tax rate
Tax structuring on acquisitions
Doing business in new locations
Working with external advisors as required
Transfer pricing documentation and compliance
Communication within the group
Provision of information to senior management on an as-needs basis
Liaising with all company locations to ensure that any tax sensitive issues are identified and addressed
Provision of general tax advice in relation to issues arising in relation to the group
Tax compliance
With support form other members of CSR's global finance team you will be responsible for:
UK corporation tax compliance and tax payment calculations
Communication with HMRC
Co-ordinating world wide tax compliance and strategy. We currently have subsidiaries or branches in USA, Sweden, Denmark, France, Germany, Taiwan, Korea, China, India and Japan
Overseeing US state and local tax compliance.
Compliance in relation to payroll taxes including deductions payable on share options
Tax accounting
Responsibility for the quarterly tax provision
Review of monthly tax accounting across the group
Tax disclosures for inclusion in quarterly accounts.
Responsibility for sales and withholding taxes (UK and worldwide).
Tax planning for employee benefits including; share options, bonuses, share awards etc. in all global locations.
Liaison with HR to ensure optimal tax arrangements regarding transfers and secondments between group locations.
Treasury responsibilities
Responsible for treasury risk management on a group wide basis, evaluating and implementing Fx and interest rate risk strategy for the group and liaising with key banks to evaluate new and relevant products.
Responsible for ensuring the execution and maintenance of Fx and treasury policy and have a thorough awareness of IAS 39 and its impact.
Candidate
Applications to the Tax and Treasury Director role are sought from qualified accountants, with preference given to candidates who are ATII qualified. Ideally you will have gained prior tax experience in a quoted company environment and be able demonstrate proven expertise in global tax planning and compliance as well as treasury experience. A numerate individual who is technically strong and possesses a high degree of commercial acumen is required to help develop the tax function and manage the treasury function. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills are also paramount.
