Technical Support Consultant

Market Leader in the Enterprise Security Sector
£35-45k + Attractive Bonus + Car Allowance

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Technical Support team of this very successful US vendor of enterprise security solutions. Dealing with between three and five calls a day, you will assume full responsibility of a range of second and third line technical queries

The ideal candidate will have the following technical knowledge:
o NOS Administration – UNIX (any flavour, RedHat & Solaris a plus), Microsoft 2000, 2003 and XP server
o Network Infrastructure Architecture - Cisco (routers, switches, VPN or Storage a plus)
o Network Protocol – TCP/IP required
o Security Products – Working understanding of Firewalls, IDS, IPS, as well as encryption techniques and methods.
o Database knowledge – Preferably Oracle 9i or 10g
Alongside your technical background, you will be passionate and enthusiastic about the support process, and will have a track record of success in the commercial environment.
