Collections Manager
Due to continued expansion of this well established Collections Agency based in Glasgow City Centre, Genius Recruitment now require an experienced Collections Manager to join their already successful team.
Job Purpose:
To manage all standard operations and procedures on a day-to-day basis and direct Supervisors. To ensure all operational areas are working to optimum levels, liaising with Senior Management where appropriate. To ensure all operations employees are sufficiently motivated and that they are fully aware of individual and department targets and that all Service Levels, where appropriate, are met.
Responsible To: Senior Collection Manager/Operations Manager (dependent upon site)
Co-Workers: Collection Managers
Reports: Collections Supervisors
Key Result Areas:
" Manage the supervisors, plan and co-ordinate the efficient flow of work within the department on a day-to-day basis. Ensure good quality service and collections are maintained
" Monitor and review employees against agreed standards and ensure training and coaching requirements are met.
" Continually motivate all employees to achieve departmental targets
" Establish and maintain contact with internal departments and external organizations
" Produce reports and external statistics as required, making recommendations where appropriate
" Ensure that complaints/disputes are dealt with effectively
" Design and implement personal development and training plans
" Report to Senior Management on resource issues, employee performance, training, productivity, adherence to Service Levels and general operational issues
" Continually seek improvements in working practices to increase collections and maximize profit
" To collaborate with and assist the management team to ensure that the overall aims of the company are met
" Where appropriate ensure legal procedures are followed as decided by the courts
" Ensures all staff are trained and developed to business requirements
" Maintain and develop good client relationships

Skills & Experience:
" Previous experience in a debt recovery or credit control- 3 years
" Previous people management experience- 2years

" Depth and breadth of knowledge of debt collection policies and practices
" Awareness of regulatory requirements
