European Tax Accountant

EUROPEAN TAX ACCOUNTANT – London Based.

My client is a leading provider of marketing and information management solutions. With offices throughout Europe, North America, Asia and Australia and with it’s broad range of data-based services and solutions, We enable organisations to retain and maximize existing customer relationships as well as growing new ones.
We deliver solutions to its customers that increase revenue and reduce costs and risk; we do this through a combination of people, process and technology.

The Tax Advisor's role will be to manage the tax compliance, consulting and reporting functions for the UK and European entities. This individual will report directly to the Corporate Tax Leader in the United States and will work closely with the European Finance and Accounting Leader to insure that all European tax issues are properly addressed.
Prepare and/or manage the preparation and submission of all UK and European corporation tax computations.
Ensure all UK and European corporation tax payments on account are made as and when required.
Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual European tax provisions under US GAAP.
Maintain and reconcile the tax accounts in each of the European jurisdictions for UK/local GAAP to comply with local statutory reporting requirements.
Reconcile the tax accounts for all European entities on a monthly basis in local and U.S. currency for purposes of financial reporting for the consolidated corporate group.
Provide VAT assistance including general VAT advisory issues and verification of VAT returns.
Monitor thin capitalisation levels in group entities to ensure ongoing compliance
Assist Corporate Tax Leader with international tax projects including transfer pricing, NOL planning, R&D tax credits and M&A transactions.
Manage any European tax audits or examinations.
Assist with the management and tax computations of Expatriate assignments.
Assist Corporate Tax leader with international and national projects.

The role is a challenging one so requires a strong, self-motivated, confident and experienced account manager. A proven commercial awareness and excellent communication skills are a must. The applicant will need to be an enthusiastic, flexible and committed team player.
Experience in UK and European corporate tax compliance and advisory, including an in depth knowledge of tax accounting.

ACCA/ACA/CTA qualified.

Base £40 to £60,000
