Bid Process Manager - Slough
The company provides 3G and carrier solutions to the telecommunications market. We are seeking to recruit an experienced Bid Process Manager to support business growth within MNSD by delivering “gold standard” bids and maximising the effectiveness of the bid process.
Based in Slough and reporting to the Head of Commercial, the main duties of this role will be as follows:
• Manage, maintain and improve the processes and infrastructure for delivery of commercial offers / bids to prospective customers.
• Work closely with the Leadership Team and Account Managers to ensure effective decision making with respect to new business opportunities.
• Work with functional heads to matrix-manage resources, contributing to the HR performance management and personal development processes.
• Work with functional heads to ensure agreed commitments are met in terms of bid process and functional activities.
• Ensure compliance to processes, methodologies, templates and standards across the bid process.
• Lead bid teams as they are formed and project-manage the delivery of bids/offers.
• Work closely with Account Managers, who are accountable for the content input into the bids/offers.
• Liaise with 3rd parties to support their timely input (decisions, pricing, contractual terms as required) into bids/offers.
• Maintain the Sales Pipeline tool for management review.
Applicants must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role and will be expected to demonstrate a broad business appreciation and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. Technical understanding of the telco/mobile environment would be a distinct advantage.
The successful candidate will also have the interpersonal and communication skills required to comfortably take the lead role in matrix-managed teams and be capable of influencing at senior management level.
Finally, applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence as the role will entail some local travel.
