SETTLEMENTS & CONFIRMATIONS CLERK
Working for this expanding Global Asset Managers as part of the Trade Operations – Global Ops department and reporting into the Supervisor Fixed Income Settlements and Confirmations this is a great role for an experienced candidate to join this excellent organisation.
Settlements
Complete responsibility for the monitoring of Custody/ Broker settlement issues and their resolution. Logging all instances and action taken
Responsible for daily management of assigned Custody and 3rd party relationships.
Maintenance of static settlement data on internal and external systems.
Assist in developing systems and procedures, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and create additional controls.
Act as liaison in monitoring SWIFT and electronic file transmissions to clients and pricing/valuation groups.
Investigation and resolution of all stock reconciliation items adhering to internal SLA’s.
Provision of MIS for internal and external distribution on a timely basis.
Confirmations
Responsible for ensuring the company’s record of trades executed is 100% accurate by confirming all transactions with the company standard and market timescales, to minimise risk of failed settlement and market exposure. Log all discrepancies.
Assist in developing systems and procedures, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and create additional controls.
Provision of MIS for internal and external distribution on a timely basis.

Contribute to weekly team meetings
Play an active part in ensuring all team responsibilities covered in times of need.
Additional responsibilities
· Attend and contribute to regular review meetings with internal and external parties.
· Develop, maintain and manage relationships with other staff, Brokers, Custodians and clients.

Formulate ideas for and assist in implementation or improvement and enhancement s to current operations
Work towards a zero interest claim environment.
Ensure all assigned tasks are undertaken to meet the requirements of the regulatory regime as applicable and needs of the company
