This post requires a Criminal Records Bureau Clearance including Purpose
1.1 To ensure an efficient provision of Domicilary Care Services.
1.2 Assisting, as required, in the planning and policy formulation processes.
2. Duties & Responsibilities
2.1 To participate in the corporate management of Nationwide Care Services Ltd and to manage resources within the Home Care Services as required.
2.2 To direct and control resources allocated in order to ensure effective service delivery. The services controlled will include the following:q the management of Home Care Organisers and Home Care Assistantsq specific responsibility for Home Care Service delivery.
2.3 To assist in ensuring effective liaison with the postholder’s area of responsibility with the appropriate district Health authority, Health Trusts, other Council Departments, voluntary organisations and private homes.
2.4 To ensure, that within the Postholder’s area of responsibility, appropriate standards of performance are established, objectives are set and progress regularly monitored.
Service Development and Planning
2.5 To ensure that the services for the postholder is responsible, are developed and implemented in accordance with the policies and priorities established by the the Director / Responsible Individual. To initiate ideas for change where appropriate.
2.6 To participate, as required, in the service development and planning process in liaison with the Nationwide Board of Directors
2.7 To ensure that all services offered are appropriate and relevant to the needs of people from all ethnic groups and to initiate in line with needs.
Administration and Finance
2.8 To ensure that the Director is aware of the support required to operational staff.
2.9 To apply procedures and practices as laid down and to co-operate in the development of new methods as required. To participate as required in the development of staff.
2.10 To assist in ensuring that financial and staffing targets are met, and to assist in the formulation of estimation budgets.
Budgets
2.11 To apply delegated powers in accordance with the Personnel Policy of the Company in liaison with Director This will include:q Recruitment and development staff;q Effective application of policies and procedures;q Assistant in joint consultation;q Contribute to and attend appropriate training courses as may be required.
Other
2.12 To represent the Director or at meetings or in links with other bodies as may be required.
2.13 To contribute to, participate in, and attend appropriate training course as may be required.
2.14 To carry out duties which may be necessary to ensure that the above responsibilities are carried out.
2.15 To assist if required on an Emergency duty rota to cover for Director posts during leave or sickness.
2.16 To carry out any other responsibilities within the scope and spirit of the job purpose and grade as may be required.

4. Special Conditions
q You may be required to participate in an on-call rota outside of normal office hours for which telephone rental is paid.

Training
Education/QualificationsN.B. Full regard must be paid to overseas qualifications NVQ level 4 or equivalent in either Social Care/Management needs to be obtained within a specified time
