Contingency Service Sterling Search Consultancy offers CONTINGENCY SERVICE, which consists of conducting a traditional search involving extensive networking, searching through proprietary databases and interviewing candidates via telephone, in person or other means. This can take days, weeks or sometimes even months depending on the availability of an acceptable candidate. There is no up front financial investment on the part of the client, however, we request your immediate availability to allow us to present candidates, receive feedback on presented candidates and giving us feedback about the candidate after interviews have occurred. We need complete cooperation in this area since we are investing so much time and so many resources with very little commitment from our client. With regards to our approach •we must necessarily consult in-depth with the client on the front end (in order to establish the ‘do-ability’ of the assignment); •we do not advertise but take the direct approach (ie, we ‘search’) based on researching the talent pool and related industries for candidates having the requisite skills and experience (noteworthy in this respect is that candidates are not job applicants); • the process is therefore targeted, attention-intensive and confidential. Assuming we are properly briefed before the client authorises us to begin work in earnest, a typical search results, after approximately 8 weeks, in a shortlist of 3 - 5 qualified and motivated candidates. We reference-check the leading candidate before an offer is made, and we assist both parties in negotiating a fair and attractive package. Finally, we follow up with the candidate – and the client – after commencement of employment, based on our guarantee of 3 months on the placement. As the past Senior Vice President of Human Resources for British American Tobacco. an international tobacco company, he knows the issues senior management and HR face, especially during times of rapid growth. His general management experience as President of a privately held manufacturing company where he began his career allows him to view recruiting and retention from a top management perspective.
